Nicholas Baddeley is a drummer, arranger, bandleader and composer based in Montréal Quebec. He is a founding member of the Border City Collective (modern jazz), Turntable Turnover (Classic Rock Rearranged into Jazz), and the Due North Trio (Jazz). Nick has been in the pit for many musical theatre shows including performances of Stephen Sondheims’ Company (presented by Kordazone Theater ), Tom Eyen’s Dreamgirls (Arts Collective Theatre), Neil Simon, Cy Coleman & Dorothy Field’s Sweet Charity (Arts Undergraduate Theatre) as well as Gordon Leary & Julia Meinwald’s, Pregnancy Pact (Edge Productions) which had shows across Ontario. Nick can be heard on recording projects such as Nicholas Papador’s The Percussion Music Of Jordan Nobles (Contemporary), and various singles from the pop punk group Twice Bleached. Other key performances include the album release show for the Marassa Duo’s most recent album, Marassa Duo II,  (Contemporary Percussion), various shows with the Noiseborder Ensemble (Contemporary), and playing at the 2018 Percussive Arts Society Day of Percussion (Ontario Chapter). 

 

Nicholas Baddeley holds a Bachelor’s of Music Degree (Honours), from the University of Windsor (2019).
